The Trip to Nepal bring me to think about “Hppiness”

Looking back on my life, I have always been thinking about what “Happiness” is and that has been the theme of my life.
I was born in the countryside in Nagano and I took my first trip abroad to Nepal when I was 11 years old. During the 10 days of my stay, I had written about “Happiness (Fulfillness)” in my trip note.
Although I was young, I was uncomfortable with something in the world–what was desired, the question of existence, and the difference between myself and the street children of my age.
What is “Fulfillness”?

Since then, I have aimed to work in the world of international cooperation.I entered the university thinking about what I can do for countries perceived to be “poor” and how I can make myself useful.
While in school, I volunteered in developing countries and was immersed in a world of international cooperation and international development that I longed to study. What I thought while taking part in the volunteer was exactly the same as what I had thought when I was 11.
What is “Fulfillness”? What is “Happiness”?
The theme of my senior thesis was “Development and Happiness.”I think I wanted to pursue my study in this field since I was 11. Economics, Sociology, Politics, Philosophy, etc…. but I couldn’t find the answer to my question. I pursued the answer through my thesis, and I believe what I wanted to write in the overall paper was what I wrote in the conclusion. (Excerpted below)

“Happiness” is having the financial and mental allowance to enjoy the beauty of nature, such as looking up at the full moon, or enjoying the warmth of the sunset dying the sky red in our hearts and having a partner to share the moment with. After graduation, I would like to find the answer to my question and pursue a path to deliver the answer for the question I felt through this research, which is not be solved by writing this thesis.

Seeking for the Next Capitalism

I am still seeking the answer to my thesis statement.I haven’t figured out what is needed for everyone’s “Happiness” but I’m now searching for ways to create “Happiness” discussed in both politics and economy, which make up society in order to make it happen.
Globalization is accelerating as we speak, and in order to solve complex social challenges in our world, people who have not cooperated in the past must work together and share their wisdom. Finding ways to work together substantially, socially, and economically is the big subject to creating a society full of “happiness.”

Human Capital- The uniqueness of every human being, and what has been built in people. Cultural Capital – History, culture, and climate, which is cultivated in human history and everywhere on earth.Social Capital-Relation and connection with others, which are developed in peoples’ lives Financial Capital- Economic activity which has been created in human history, and economic value which people must have in their lives.Natural Capital – The globe and nature which allows humans to live.

We have been tied to the moment and we only judge and compete with others without looking at Capital that isn’t visible.
What is needed now is to look out to the future and focus on different types of Capital without being tied down to the moment.I believe this will lead to obtaining the power to think about “Happiness” and face “life” that leads there.

Why I started “re:terra”

The definition of “terra” is “earth” , “ground” , and “our feet” .On the globe we “live” and assemble the “lives” , we now live as one “life” which has been connected from history.

May each of us make the most of our “lives” .May the brightness connect beyond what we can see, what we can’t see, the present, the past, and the future without being tied with existing values. With this thought, we carry out our activities.
